Laura was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, and explored living in various parts of the country, including Key West and New York City, before settling into the PNW as her preferred home.
Laura believes individuals flourish when they feel heard, understood, respected, and safe. Her approach to counseling is collaborative, strength-based, non-judgmental, empathetic, client-centered, attachment-focused, and trauma-informed. As a counselor, Laura is passionate about helping individuals explore themselves, adjust behaviors, improve relationships, work through and learn from past experiences, and develop healthy coping mechanisms that serve as the foundation for healthy lives. She enjoys working with adolescents 15 years of age and up, adults, and couples dealing with life transitions, identity exploration, conflict, grief & loss, and general life challenges.
When Laura is not practicing counseling, she enjoys painting, family time, creating, and constantly learning through books, podcasts, and life experiences.
