As a long-time Washingtonian, Jolene grew up in the PNW and is steeped in the love of adventure, nature, and personal growth. Her sense of adventure has taken her to live in small towns on the edge of the Pacific Crest Trail to the great metropolis of NYC.

As a therapist, Jolene recognizes that every client has unique goals, and she seeks to guide individuals in working on healing specific to their human experience. Her approach is grounded in helping individuals celebrate personal strengths and find tools to work through challenging moments in life. Jolene’s background in therapy approaches include Reality Therapy, Solution-Focused Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Art Therapy, Adlerian, and Existential methods in therapy. As a lifelong learner, Jolene is always looking to develop a stronger eclectic counseling toolkit that will strengthen experiences for her clients and provide a positive and empowering collaboration process in therapy.

Jolene holds a BA in Visual and Performing Arts from Evergreen State College and an M. Ed. in Education - School Counseling from Saint Martin’s University. Jolene is also trained as a horticultural therapy practitioner from the Horticultural Therapy Institute at Colorado State University and has a broad background in creative therapies, including professional development with the Art Therapy Project in NYC.

When Jolene is not practicing counseling, she spends time with family, hiking, designing gardens, enjoying live concerts, and sculpting in her studio.
