Hagit Shekel, MA, LMHCA (she/her)

Hagit was born in Israel and has lived in the USA for 22 years, 14 of which are in the Pacific Northwest. She began her education at Bar Ilan University in Israel, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and later a graduate degree in Administration and Public policy. Hagit’s second graduate degree was in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Antioch University in Seattle.

She has a breadth of experiences in various counseling fields that contributed to her professional approach, including:

- The Rehabilitation Department within the Israel Defense Administration, working with disabled and bereaved families.

- As a social worker for a municipal Social Welfare department with families in need.

- Clinical counseling at the JFCS in Seattle

- Branch manager of an Israel/US crisis line - Eran

Today, Hagit is an individual clinical therapist who works with adults and youth ages 12 and up. She specializes in anxiety, depression, relationships within the family, and interpersonal relationships.

Outside work, Hagit spends time with her family, enjoys sports and outdoor activities, and enjoys coffee with friends.
